The Trend: Lace Shorts
I've been dying for a pair of lace shorts. I think the lacey texture adds a little flirt to the spring/summer staple garment. Luckily while browsing through the racks at Goodwill, I found the perfect black lace top to make a pair of my own. I also grabbed a pair of oversize black shorts to be placed underneath the lace. I altered the shorts and removed the back pockets. Then I cut four panels from the lace top, sewed them together, and then sewed them to the shorts. I kept the beautiful scalloped hem that the top originally had. This project took quite long because I had to be extra careful with the delicate lace and I only had a limited supply, but I think it turned out great. Have a great weekend everyone! -C.C.
